DJ Levek

DJ Levek’s passion for DJing was born in a unique scene for a Connecticut born-and-raised club rocker – the West Indian circuit. Learning the basics of party DJing by playing reggae and soca allowed him to move onto a bigger scene in his city of Hartford. The 25 year old DJ earned residencies and bookings at the downtown “in” spots. This allowed him to network and build a fan base, which established DJ Levek as one of the prime trendsetters in his city musically, with gigs ranging all over the New England area.

San Francisco based J. Money first took the helm of a mixer and two turntables in high school with a mismatched set of off-brand turntables and a Radio Shack mixer. In no time at all vinyl was taking over his room and his life. Always a music fanatic, J puts all his energy in the mix and never lets a dull moment slip by.

Raised on rock and soul, living hip-hop and then discovering house music in the nineties, J’s sets bring multiple layers fusing hip-hop, house, top 40, electro, soul, rock and more but holding tight to one purpose: packing the dance floor.
