1. DKnight Magicbox Ultra-Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

The Best Portable Speakers. DKnight Magicbox Ultra-Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.

The DKnight Magicbox Ultra-Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker is sold exclusively by DKnight Inc. It uses Bluetooth or a 3.5mm jack to connect to your phone, computer, MP3 player, Ipod/Ipad, television, or gaming system. It also sports an internal microphone for use in hands free calling. The speaker features two 40mm total 6 watt acoustic drivers and it measures 6 X 2 X 1.6 inches with a weight of 8 ounces. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery will give you up to 10 hours of play before needing to recharged. It comes with a USB charging cable and one may choose from the colors red, blue, or black.

The sound is quite surprising for such a small unit. It easily pairs with your input device utilizing its bluetooth capability or a 3.5 mm connection cord. the farthest operating distance between the speaker and paired device is about 3-4 feet. It gets loud enough to fill a bedroom, dorm room, or automobile with plenty of sound. The bass is somewhat lacking, but I understand that it is possible to use the equalizer of the input device to adjust this. It is cased in durable plastic with rubberized bumpers at the top and bottom. That there is no dedicated volume buttons (must use your input device) is a mystery to me. For about $30.00 one gets a very usable product of decent quality proving that a lower price tag does not always translate into the buying of an inferior product.

It is cased in a solid aluminum housing and sports a front and back metal grill making it rather sturdy and durable. There are wide varieties of "skins" available for this unit so that one can customize its look and protect it from scratches and dings. It weighs in at 1.5 pounds and measures 2.3 X 7.1 X 2 inches. The wall charger can be plugged into the cradle or directly into the speaker. A USB port is present to facilitate updates which ensures compatibility with future bluetooth devices.

Proprietary technologies and an innovative audio driver assure the user of sound unmatched by other mini speakers on the market right now. The sound that emanates from this speaker is, well....phenomenal!. Really. The depth and range of sound is incredible at low, moderate, and high volume. There is absolutely no sound distortion regardless of what the volume is set at. This speaker will cost you around $199.00.
